The Artist - Per Inge Bjørlo

Per Inge Bjørlo is a norwegian sculptor and painter. He grew up in Spjelkavik outside Ålesund and lives now in Hønefoss. He was educated ath the Bergen College of Art (1974-1977) and the National Academey of the Arts (1977-1981).

Bjørlo is regarded as one of the leading artists of his generation. He has participated in numerous exhibitions both in Norway and abroad. His public art projects include a series of sculptures at Oslo Airport Gardemoen. In the county of Nordland Bjørlo has previously made an outdoor sculpture for Sortland children´s home. Bjørlo recieved the Public Art Norway (KORO) Art prize in 2002.
